The annals of Prestige Moving & Storage, Co. can be traced back to 1961 when William Mullen integrated Mullen Moving & Storage in Gresham, Oregon. The business was bought by Dave Borgwardt, Mike Larsen and Jim Larsen. The name was later switched to Prestige Moving & Storage, Co. and became an agent for Allied Van Lines – the world’s Biggest Mover. The organization saw a fantastic chance for expansion as Prestige experienced rapid growth. Prestige came roaring to town of Bend and totally revolutionized the moving industry. Changes in the ownership structure of Prestige Moving & Storage, Co. were finished in 1999 with the buy out of one of the founding partners of Prestige, Jim Larsen. This is a planned buy out that helped both parties.
The year 2000 brought additional changes in the ownership construction. The General Manager of Prestige/Bend, Bryan Murphy became a stockholder in the Bend operation. The expertise and links in the Bend market of Bryan are priceless to the continuing success of Prestige/Bend.
In late 2003, an important competition in Bend, OR went from business and its particular assets were bought by the managing of Prestige Moving & Storage, Co./Bend. This acquisition will provide greater economies of scale in growing and servicing the Bend company.
The latest company inside the Prestige firms is Superior Relocation Services. This business, created in 2004, is a third party service firm that manages that most Moving & Storage businesses prefer to not perform–crating, appliance service, etc. to every area of business This service business will manage the third party needs of Prestige Moving & Storage, Co. as well as other moving companies.
